Glen Lakes is a deed restricted, gated community of approximately 1300 homes with the possibility of 500 more homes. The community has well maintained, landscaped streets, spring-fed lakes and ponds. It contains a private golf club with a championship 18 hole course designed by Ron Garl. The Club is a 35,000 square foot building set on a hill which contains a pro shop, fitness facility, private restaurant, grill room and bar, banquet facilities and is overseen by a full time Club Manager. The Club looks over an Aqua Driving Range, putting green, Junior Olympic swimming pool heated year-round and 8 clay tennis courts. 

The community has well maintained, landscaped streets, spring-fed lakes and ponds and deed restrictions which do not allow for RVs or boats. Residents who have these vehicles store them outside of the community. 

There is a one time fee of $1,000 to join the Social Membership which is $140.00 monthly with a $100.00 food minimum. Membership in the Club is mandatory for homes built after 1999. Homes built before 1999 have a choice whether to join the Club. The private 18-hole golf course has Golf Memberships available. 

There is a Homeowners’ Association which is required for every home in Glen Lakes. The cost is $246.00 per quarter. This covers the maintenance of the private streets, street lights, common areas, 24-hour guarded security. There is a full-time, on-site Homeowners’ Association Manager. 

Homes in Glen Lakes range from maintenance free villas to custom Estate Homes. 

Glen Lakes is located on the West Coast of Florida in an area known as the Nature Coast. It is 3 miles from the Weeki Wachee State Park which have spring fed waters; great for canoeing and kayaking, 3 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and is bordered by the Federal Chassahowitzka Wildlife Refuge of 85,000 acres. 

It’s just 45 minutes north of Tampa and St. Petersburg and an easy drive of 90 minutes to Orlando and the Theme Parks.
